The following updates summarize recent FDA activity relevant to pharmacy and veterinary practice. Please review and share with your team as appropriate.
New Drug Approvals:
Amodip (amlodipine besylate) chewable tablet – Control of systemic hypertension in cats
Tessie (tasipimidine) oral solution – Treatment of noise aversion and separation anxiety in dogs

Conditional Drug Approvals:
Liavium-CA1 (pregabalin) chewable tablet – Management of pain and clinical signs associated with Chiari-like malformation and syringomyelia in dogs
Emergency Use Authorization:
Dectomax & Dectomax-CA1 (doramectin) injection for prevention and treatment of New World screwworm (NWS) infestations

Three of the cases are in cattle located in Texas and one case is in a dog located in New Mexico.
