Student Pharmacist Membership Information
Becoming a student pharmacist member of the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists is a great way to learn more about veterinary healthcare. If you have an interest in joining the ranks of some of the most entrepreneurial pharmacists in our profession this is the place for you! Members of ACVP represent a select group of practitioners who have distinguished themselves as having some of the most highly evolved professional practices in the country.
If you are a student pharmacist, then you are eligible for student membership in ACVP. Membership dues are only $10 per year.
Scholarships
The ACA Research & Education Foundation offers scholarships to ACA and ACVP Student Pharmacist Members throughout the year. Be sure to watch for announcements that the scholarship application is open.
Currently we have the following scholarships available:
- George Malmberg Student Scholarship for Compounding Excellence — covers tuition and travel expenses for an ACA compounding training course
- Pharmacists Mutual | ACA Foundation Community Pharmacy Scholarship — $2,500 scholarship
ACVP Student Pharmacist Board Member
The American College of Veterinary Pharmacists (ACVP) Board of Directors invites interested student pharmacist members to apply for appointment as Student Pharmacist Board Member to the ACVP Board of Directors.
Throughout the course of the year, the student pharmacist board member will be expected to attend the Veterinary Pharmacy Conference and all ACVP scheduled board meetings. Board meetings are typically held every 3 months. The Student Pharmacist Board Member will be given time during each Board agenda to speak regarding student concerns, projects, and Chapter activities. The Student Pharmacist Board Member acts as a liaison between student pharmacists interested in veterinary pharmacy, ACVP Student Chapters, and the ACVP Board of Directors.
