American College of Veterinary Pharmacists Announces New Officers, Board Members and Committee Chairs

At the 2026 ACVP Veterinary Pharmacy Conference in Providence, Rhode Island, the 2026–2027 Officers and Board of Directors were officially installed, and the 2026–2027 Committee Chairs were announced.

I am so excited to be together again for another ACVP conference. It is truly an honor and a privilege to stand before you as the incoming President of the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists.

When I first became involved with ACVP as a student member in 2015, I never imagined that one day I would have the opportunity to serve in this role. Like many of our students, I joined looking for knowledge, mentorship, and a place where people shared my passion for veterinary pharmacy. What I found was much more than a professional organization—I found a community. This is more evident than ever as our membership continues to grow, we develop new initiatives, and continue advocating for our patients and ourselves.

Over the past decade, ACVP has challenged me to grow as a pharmacist, a leader, and a person. Along the way, I have had the privilege of learning from so many individuals who have dedicated countless hours to advancing our profession. To our past presidents, Board of Directors, committee chairs, mentors, staff, volunteers, thank you. Your vision and commitment have built the organization we are proud to be a part of today.

I also want to thank every member of ACVP. Whether you’ve served on a committee, mentored a student, presented at a webinar, volunteered at our conference, or simply shared your expertise with a colleague, you have contributed to the strength of this organization. ACVP thrives because of people who believe that veterinary pharmacy deserves a seat at the table and who are willing to invest their time to make that vision a reality.

One of the things that continues to inspire me most is watching our students and early-career professionals become engaged. I remember what it was like to attend my first ACVP meeting as a student, and now I have the privilege of seeing the next generation bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and innovation to our profession. They are not just the future of ACVP—they are already shaping it today.

As I look ahead to this year, my goal is simple: to continue building on the strong foundation that those before us have created. Together, we will continue to expand educational opportunities, strengthen mentorship, increase collaboration with veterinarians and other healthcare professionals, support research and advocacy, and grow awareness of the essential role veterinary pharmacists play in improving patient care.

Veterinary medicine continues to evolve, and so must we. Every challenge presents an opportunity to demonstrate the value pharmacists bring to animal health. By working together, remaining curious, and supporting one another, I believe ACVP can continue to be the leading voice for veterinary pharmacy.

Finally, I cannot believe that it has been 2 years since I began my journey on the board of directors as Vice President. Being inducted as President is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. I promise to serve this organization with integrity, humility, and enthusiasm, always keeping the best interests of our members and our profession at the forefront.

Thank you all for everything you have done to make ACVP what it is today, and thank you for the opportunity to help lead it into its next chapter. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue to grow our profession and strengthen the impact of veterinary pharmacy for years to come.
