Dr. Natalie Young, PharmD, FACVP, BCSCP, Honored with 2023 Bill Bradley Award
[Indianapolis, Indiana, July 11, 2024] — The American College of Veterinary Pharmacists (ACVP) is proud to announce that Natalie Young, PharmD, FACVP, BCSCP, has been named the recipient of the esteemed Bill Bradley Award. This prestigious accolade recognizes her outstanding contributions to veterinary pharmacy and her unwavering dedication to improving animal healthcare.
Dr. Young’s exceptional work and leadership in veterinary pharmacy have set her apart as a true pioneer in the industry. Her commitment to excellence and innovation has significantly impacted the veterinary healthcare community, making her a deserving recipient of this distinguished honor.
After earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy, Dr. Natalie Young attained Fellowship in the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists and Board Certification in Compounded Sterile Preparations. Dr. Young’s career has been marked by her passion for advancing the field of veterinary pharmacy through education, research, and clinical practice.

Clinical Expertise: Dr. Young established the largest veterinary only compounding pharmacy in North Carolina and is now pioneering clinical pharmacy practice in a large private practice veterinary hospital system. She is the director of clinical pharmacy services for Vets Pets, a group of 40 veterinary practices situated across North Carolina.
Education and Advocacy: As a committed educator, Dr. Young has mentored countless pharmacy students and residents. Dr. Young also is passionate about veterinary pharmacy practice specialization and has been actively involved in the push to have the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties designate Veterinary Pharmacy Practice as a board-certified pharmacy specialty. In addition to all of this, Dr. Young also teaches a veterinary compounding course at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Young is a passionate advocate for the role of pharmacists in veterinary healthcare. She has been actively involved in professional organizations, working to advance the field and support her colleagues. Dr. Young is a former ACVP Chairperson and currently acts as the ACVP Regulatory and Government Affairs Liaison. She is the Compounding Community Chair for APhA and an active member of the APhA House of Delegates.

The Earl W. ‘Bill’ Bradley Award is presented annually to an individual who has shown remarkable achievements and leadership in veterinary pharmacy. Named after the legendary figure in veterinary pharmacy, the award honors those who exemplify the highest standards of professional excellence and service.
The award was presented to Dr. Young at the 2024 Veterinary Pharmacy Conference, held July 11-13, 2024 at the Indianapolis Zoo, where she was recognized among her peers and celebrated for her outstanding achievements.
