Your Voice = Our Future. Support recognition of Veterinary Pharmacy as a BPS Specialty.

The American College of Veterinary Pharmacists, the International College of Veterinary Pharmacy, the Society of Veterinary Hospital Pharmacists, and the BPS Veterinary Pharmacy Practice Job Analysis Task Force have partnered to develop and submit a petition to the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) to recognize veterinary pharmacy practice as a specialty.

The recognition of veterinary pharmacy as a specialty by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties would formally highlight the critical role pharmacists play in safe, effective, and species-appropriate medication use. Specialty recognition would standardize training, strengthen collaboration with veterinarians, and affirm the value veterinary pharmacists bring to animal and public health.
