Vice President
Alexandria Gochenauer, PharmD, DICVP, FSVHP

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for electing me as the Vice President of the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists.

I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our organization. Since becoming a member of ACVP in 2015, I have been actively involved in various initiatives, including the establishment of the student chapter at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. I have also had the privilege of participating in key events and conferences, such as the educational conference in San Diego, the annual veterinary conference in Memphis, and the ACA/ACVP conference in Ponte Vedra.

I am committed to supporting the mission and goals of ACVP and look forward to collaborating with all of you to advance our field. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Together, I am confident that we can positively impact the veterinary pharmacy profession.

Member at Large
Jay Phipps, PharmD, FACA, FACVP

Thank you for electing me as Member at Large. I am truly humbled and honored to have the opportunity to serve in this role and work alongside such dedicated and passionate pharmacy professionals that I call Pharmacy Gladiators.

I believe that pharmacy is at its best when we come together to focus on the profession and the well-being of our patients, both human and non-human. The American College of Veterinary Pharmacists provides a unique platform for us to collaborate, promote education, and demonstrate leadership within our field.

My personal core values align closely with the mission of ACVP. I am committed to being relationship-driven, solution-focused, intellectually inquisitive, and an authentic leader. I am excited to bring these values to my work with ACVP and to collaborate with all of you to further the goals of our organization.

I look forward to building strong relationships with each of you and working together towards our shared success. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time with ideas, concerns, or just to say hello. I am here to serve you and our profession to the best of my abilities. Together, we can Conquer the Coliseums in Our Communities!

Student Pharmacist Board Member
Garrett Snowden

“As a rising third-year Doctor of Pharmacy student at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy, I am eager to help drive the growth of the ACVP student body through collaboration with the ACVP Board, Student Engagement Committee, and fellow Student Pharmacist members.

With my background as a first-generation college student and the son of hard-working entrepreneurs, I bring a unique perspective and drive to the table. My previous experience as a pharmacist intern in multiple independent compounding practices has equipped me with essential skills in leadership, communication, clinical problem-solving, teamwork, and veterinary care, enabling me to effectively serve as the ACVP Student Board Member.

I am committed to being a trailblazer in the field of animal compounding and independent pharmacy, and I believe that serving as the Student Board Member will provide both myself and the ACVP student body with valuable experience and opportunities for growth. I am excited about the opportunity to work alongside other dedicated individuals to help shape the future of our institution and veterinary pharmacy as a whole.”

Congratulations Alex, Jay and Garrett! All officers will be installed in their new roles at the 2024 Veterinary Pharmacy Conference, July 11, 2024. in Indianapolis, Indiana.
