Adopt-a-Student Mentorship Program (Optional Add-On)
The Adopt-a-Student Program pairs student pharmacists with experienced veterinary pharmacy professionals to enhance networking, learning, and professional development during the Veterinary Pharmacy Conference (VPC).
This program is designed to be low-pressure, high-impact, with a small number of intentional touchpoints throughout the conference.
What participation includes:
- A pre-conference introduction with your matched mentor/mentee
- A brief welcome connection at the conference
- Intentional check-ins during VPC
Estimated total time commitment: ~60-90 minutes across the conference (before, during, and after)
Who should participate?
- Mentors: Pharmacists and professionals interested in supporting students and sharing career insights
- Mentees: Student pharmacists seeking guidance and connection
Participants will receive a follow-up email to confirm their commitment and submit a short bio for matching purposes.
Chairperson’s Walk for Charity
For 2026, ACVP is proud to support the BISSELL Pet Foundation (BPF) as the beneficiary of the “Chairperson’s Walk for Charity.” BPF is a national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending pet homelessness by partnering with shelters and rescues across North America. Through programs focusing on pet adoption, spay/neuter services, microchipping, vaccinations, transport, and crisis/disaster response, BPF works to reduce shelter populations and give animals a second chance at loving homes. 100 % of every donation directly impacts pets in need, with all administrative costs absorbed by BISSELL Inc. to maximize the contribution’s lifesaving impact.

Join us in supporting the BISSELL Pet Foundation by participating in the Saturday morning run/walk during the conference. Whether you run, walk, or cheer others on, this is a great way to come together for a cause that helps animals and communities nationwide.
ELECTRONIC MATERIAL DELIVERY: Presentation materials will be available to conference attendees.
MEDIA PERMISSION: Attendees may be photographed, videotaped, or electronically imaged for the purposes of promotional materials, news releases, or other published formats for the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists (ACVP). The images will be the sole property of ACVP.
ENROLLMENT POLICY:
The mission of the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists is to promote education and leadership of pharmacy professionals in veterinary pharmacotherapy to enhance non-human patient care. Attendance at ACVP Conferences is not limited to members of ACVP. Participants registering as student pharmacists must be currently enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy and be able to provide proof of status and class spaces may be limited.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If attendee cancels 30+ days before event – full refund less 5% administrative fee
If attendee cancels 29-14 days before event – 50% refund
If attendee cancels 13-1 days before event – no refund
On occasion, ACVP may need to reschedule or cancel a conference due to circumstances beyond our control, and attendees should plan travel accordingly. We recommend purchasing travel insurance or booking with an airline that will allow you to reschedule your flight if the need arises.
If you are an ACA-only member (not also a member of ACVP), you will need to email Linda Cathey at registration@vetmeds.org to receive a special code for your member discount. You will then select the “Non-Member” price and enter the discount code at the bottom of the registration form to receive the member pricing. Once you enter the discount code, you must click “APPLY” for the discount to be applied.
